Signed Franklin D Roosevelt Photo FDR Val-Kill Frame! FDR SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH Scroll Over Smaller Photos to See Larger Image Above A Rare AuthenticSIGNED FDR PHOTOGRAPH Description: Featured for your bidding consideration is an extremely rare piece of historic Presidential memorabilia. An authentic signed photograph by Harris & Ewing, of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The Harris Ewing name is embossed in the lower right corner. FDR is sitting at a desk filled with papers, and appears to be deep in thought. Written in fountain pen by the president is:"To Mr. & Mrs. Irving Clark from Franklin D. Roosevelt". To further add to the collector's value of this piece is the wood frame in which the photograph sits. It was manufactured by Eleanor Roosevelt's Val-Kill Industries, in Hyde Park, N.Y.(for more info, please click HERE) ~(Thanks Rich) It has an engraved brass plate that reads:THIS WOOD WAS PART OF THE WHITE HOUSE ROOFERECTED ABOUT 1817 AND REMOVED IN 1927.The frame also features a brassPRESIDENTAL SEAL. Dimensions: The viewable portion of the photograph measures approximately 9" across by 8" high. The framed dimensions are 12 1/2" x 11 3/4" Condition: A portion of the photograph has moisture damage (or blistering) primarily across the upper arms and torso, and on the lower edge of the picture. There are also some discolored spots below the writing, and it appears to be slightly warped beneath the glass. The writing is fully legible, however the last name is slightly lighter than the other words. The frame and backing are fully in tact ( just one minor tear in paper backing). Everything appears to be original, right down to the nails and wire to hang it on a wall. Other: This is a rare historic piece that will be the highlight of someone's collection.
